Privacy Policy

We only collect what we need to run Reporaise. This page explains what data flows through the product and how to reach us if you have questions.

1. Data we collect

• Account basics from GitHub OAuth: name, handle, avatar, and email if available.
• Issue and funding metadata you publish, including acceptance criteria and deadlines.
• Payment identifiers from Stripe (no card numbers) and activity events triggered on Reporaise.

2. How we use data

• To authenticate maintainers and funders, show funding pages, and trigger payouts.
• To send transactional email updates (funded, delivered, refunded) through SendGrid.
• To keep the activity feed, watchlists, and referral earnings accurate.

3. Sharing

• Stripe receives payment intent data to process checkout and payouts.
• GitHub receives webhook payloads related to issue/PR events when your installation is connected.
• We do not sell personal data. If a legal request arrives, we will review and challenge when appropriate.

4. Retention & control

• You can delete funding pages or revoke GitHub access at any time; connected Stripe accounts can be disconnected from the dashboard.
• If you want data removed entirely, email us and we will scrub records that are not needed for compliance (e.g., accounting).
